The Blind Mirror

The Blind Mirror

Every folding mirror hides
an emptiness unfolding.
If only glassy eyes
would recede, revealing
infinitely, the dark,
the empty nothing.

Throw a sideways glance at yourself.

Light struggles in
through cracks,
an ironic foreshadowing
borne at birth.
